Who is Willie?
Willie was a special needs foster dog of ours that had a profound impact on our family, our social media following, and our decision to start a business promoting animal rescue. Willie had dwarfism and spina bifida and we decided to adopt him in February of 2018. After having a routine surgery, he was unable to recover from the anesthesia. We did everything we possibly could to save him, but he didn’t make it. Given his huge impact on our family, our company name honors his memory.
“Be Willie Kind” to Animals! As a society, we need to take better care of our environment, and that starts with caring for our wildlife. Our goal is to promote animal rescue and teach our children to respect all creatures, great and small. We believe that by showing compassion for all living things, our children will be better human beings and will make the world a better place. James Herriot stated in his book, All Creatures Great and Small, “if having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans." We can learn a lot from the unconditional love of an animal, and we are going to share this message with the world!
